DQ AUTUMN MARKETING UPDATE |
|
|
After a busy summer for Queenstown, DQ’s attention is now on autumn and winter activity.
Autumn marketing activity is currently running in Australia and NZ, focusing on a range of activity segments including food and drink, wellness, active relaxation, biking, golf and our vibrant arts, culture and heritage.
The Queenstown winter campaign goes live from 1 March in Australia and 1 May in NZ. The campaign has exciting new creative and is designed to build preference for a winter holiday to Queenstown, as well as reinforcing our credentials as the southern hemisphere’s premier ski destination, with exceptional ski and off-mountain experiences.
Supporting this is a range of paid partnerships in NZ and AU, including Neat Places, Avenues, Kia Ora Magazine, Sydney Film Festival and ski publications.
Ensure you keep your listings up to date to leverage all this activity. And if you’re keen to leverage TNZ’s “Everyone Must Go” campaign with a deal, you are invited to load this on QueenstownNZ.nz as well.
We will be putting forward an application for the Regional Tourism Boost Fund recently announced by MBIE which supports regions to attract more international visitors and encourage regional dispersal. This must be a collaboration between two or more RTOs and activity needs to take place between April and July.
In the trade space, the team will be attending multiple events in the greater China market, in North America and Australia this autumn, as well as domestic IBO events and TRENZ, hosting post-TRENZ famils across the wider region.
And finally, the QCB will host the annual Domestic Famil from 25 – 28 May, to align with the Electrify Queenstown event. This year we will be welcoming NZ based third party planners to apply for a spot. Expressions of interest to be involved in this famil will be open from 5 March through Fortnightly Remarks.
