The new Wharehuanui Trail connecting Arrowtown to Arthurs Point is officially open for everyone to enjoy.
The 13km trail runs along the northern side of the Whakatipu Basin, following the foothills of Coronet Peak, and tracing Mill Creek from its source before joining the existing Countryside Trail at Millbrook.
Gather your friends and family to begin your ride with a coffee at Gantley’s Tavern, and finish with a drink at Fork & Tap in Arrowtown to celebrate a great day out with even better company.

Start your adventure at the entrance to the Queenstown Gardens. Take in the beautifully manicured hedges, colourful daffodils and towering trees as you bike through the gardens and along the Frankton Arm towards Kelvin Heights.
Along the peninsula, there are multiple jetties and small coves perfect for a snack break to refuel. If your feeling up to it, extend your ride to the Kelvin Heights Sculpture Trail that loops around the golf course and takes in incredible views over Queenstown along with sculptures made by local artists.
