Experience a bird's eye view of Queenstown on a paraglide or hang glide flight.

Experience the most spectacular views of the Whakatipu Basin by paragliding or hang gliding the skies above Queenstown.

Paragliding was introduced to Queenstown in 1987 by Rene Schwaller. Rene learned how to paraglide in Switzerland and returned home to Queenstown equipped with two modified parachutes and a new skill, which he demonstrated by jumping off Bob’s Peak.

In the early 90's Queenstown became home to hard-core paragliders who hiked up the mountainous peaks and flew off them. Paragliding enthusiasts wanted to share the love of soaring through the air with visitors, and soon commercial hang-gliding and paragliding experiences were established, the first being G Force Paragliding in 1991.

Paragliding and hang gliding operators in Queenstown are fully qualified and have top safety records, so relax and enjoy the sensational flight.
